Some people think that honesty is the best way of behavior in any circumstances, whereas others think that it should depend on situation.

I think that honesty is the best policy. First of all, people really appreciate honor in other people. If a person is honest others respect him or her and listen to them. Second, honesty allows people to feel good and become better. Being honest in all circumstances lets one find the weak sides of their character and work on them, thus improving them.   

At the same time there are people who say that a person should not be always honest. Honesty can hurt someone's feelings.

I cannot agree with the opinion mentioned above for a particular reason. Some things might offend a person, nevertheless, I am sure that real honesty does not have anything to do with rudness or offensiveness. A person must be honest first of all about himself.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there are many temptations that might make a person lie, cheat or not say the truth. However, I strongly believe if a person sticks to the saying, “Honesty is the best policy”, he or she will eventually be proud of their long-term behavior, even if it might cause some temporarily inconveniences.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight it might seem that some little lie will not bring any harm but in actual fact small untruth eventually will create more deceives that in its turn will lead a person to big troubles. Thus, I strongly believe that honesty is the best way of behavior ever.
