Some people say that technical progress is always harmful for the environment. There has been a history of deteriorating environment along with the increase in technical progress. Environmentalists have been worried about this issue constantly. On the other hand other people say that if we use special technologies it won’t bring any harm to the nature.

In my opinion, as man advances with technology, he takes more and more from the nature and there is an abuse of environment too. He cuts trees, build structures over river beds that endangers natural life. Due to advancing technology a lot of harmful substances from various factories are also thrown into the rivers and dumped into environment, as well as harmful gases.

But there are people who may support technology over environment too. They say that technological progress is what mankind needs to become modern and advanced. That only technology can give him newer and better gadgets and things in life and it can be not harmful.

I don’t fully agree with this, because if the environment is destroyed, then it will endanger life on the planet. It will be both harmful and dangerous for animals, plants and human life everywhere. But if somebody offered technologies that don’t destroy the nature, I would support it.

To have a healthy life and environment on the planet, technological progress should be carefully made and due care must be taken to protect the environment for everyone’s good.
