Some people think that it is important to look nice, whereas others do not agree. They believe it can distract a person from something that is really important.

I think that it is not very important to look nice. I would prefer to look natural. First of all, it takes a lot of time and energy. One has to spend substantial amount of time to live up to some standards that other teens have created. Second, it takes a lot of money to keep yourself looking nice. Good perfume and clothes cost a fortunate nowadays. It is also a never ending process because someone else will always look nicer.

At the same time a lot of young people think that if one looks nice he or she has more chances of finding friends or getting more respect from people of the same age.

Well, if one do not work on their qualities like easygoing, tolerance or forgiveness such people can not be popular for a long time. Teenagers can gain the same respect and a lot of friends just being nice and helpfu. 

In conclusion, I would like to say that it is not really important to look nice. Nevertheless, one should not totally neglect his or her looks and be what people call “disheveled”, namely, smell or look dirty. Yet, I still support the idea of looking natural, even though it might contradict with the conception of “nice” in other people’ heads.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight it seems important to look nice but in actual fact it takes a lot of time and money. Thus, I support the idea that it is not really important to look nice.
