It is common knowledge that pandemics have ravaged humanity throughout its existence. Some people say that introducing quarantine regulations is the most effective way to prevent the spread of the disease, whereas others believe that official quarantine is not a necessity.

In my opinion, official quarantine is the most efficient method in terms of fighting pandemic. First of all, official quarantine means isolation. For example, the less time people spend together, the less risk of infection they get. Secondly, people are punished for violating the quarantine. For instance, being scared of punishment, people stay at home and are not at risk of infection.

However, there are people who have an opposing view on this issue. They think that most people are aware of the danger of infectious diseases and voluntarily adhere to self-isolation. People can take care of their health themselves, therefore they are likely to take all precautions to prevent the spread of the disease.

Personally, I do not agree with the opinion mentioned above. There are a lot of people who do not fully understand the dangers of a pandemic. They violate self-isolation thereby contributing to the spread of an infectious disease. Official quarantine is the only way to keep these people from leaving their homes.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight, a lot of people do their best to stop spreading the virus, but in actual fact there are people who do not care. Thus, I strongly believe that official quarantine is the best way to fight pandemic.
