Comment on the following statement: |
Some people believe that animals without owners should have the right to live on the streets in cities. Others say that they could be dangerous and should be collected and found new homes, or kept in cages in animal shelters. |
|
What is your opinion? Do you agree with this statement? |
Some people think that stray animals are dangerous, whereas others say that they can live on the streets without disturbing people.
I think that stray animals should be sterilized and put in animal shelters to be given for adoption later. First of all, the life of a stray animal is not easy. They have to fight for their existence with other animals. Second, they can spread different diseases that are dangerous for people. All living beings need to be taken care of. If they get sick they have to be cured and it is only possible at homes or animal shelters.
Some other people say animals need freedom as much as humans do. So it is not good to keep them locked up. They also want to have offspring and nobody has a right to restrict them from doing it.
Well, first of all what we really mainly have on our streets are cats and dogs. These animals are ok to live with humans in houses and they do not mind being restricted this way. All they want is to be well fed, loved and surrounded with care.
In conclusion, I would like to say that in connection with the increased incidences of animal attacks on humans, especially children, stray animals should be isolated from people on streets. The government has to also give people opportunities to adopt stray animals at animal shelters. Those animals are usually really grateful to their new owners and love them as much as they can. or In conclusion, I would like to say that there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight stray animals are harmless but in actual fact they might be dangerous for people, especially children. Thus, I strongly believe that they should be isolated from people on streets and should be given for adoption. |
