Some people say that life long friendship is unreal whereas others don’t agree.

I think that life long friendship really exists. First of all, there are a lot of examples of it. My grandparents have friends who they met at school. Now they are 75. Second, the plots for books and films must be taken from somewhere and it’s real life. Also, if people respect each other they can be friends for a very long time. There is no reason to stop being friends.

At the same time there are people who say that life-long friendship is impossible. People eventually will have an argument and break up.

In my opinion these people have a point. Long-time friendship requires some qualities like forgiveness, easygoing, understanding etc. and it’s quite hard to find them nowadays. Nevertheless, it’s like life-long marriage. You can find a lot of couples who are in love for all their life.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that if we weigh all the facts that support life-long friendship against the ones that say that it’s impossible, we'll see that the facts that support life-long friendship outweigh those against.
