Some people say that overweight is a big problem of modern society whereas others say that anorexia is more dangerous.

I think that overweight and anorexia are two big problems of modern civilization however I would consider overweight the biggest one. First of all, overweight is more spread since both men and women can put on extra weight. Second, considering health, overweight people tend to have more dangerous despises than skinny ones. These are like diabetes, heart attack, vessel trouble etc.

At the same time there are people who say that anorexia is a horrible disease that causes inability to digest food. After being on diets for a long time ladies damage their stomachs and turn into almost skeletons.

In my opinion these people have a point. Anorexia seriously damages one’s health too. Nevertheless, overweigh people suffer more psychologically because of glossy magazines standards. They advertise really skinny types of bodies.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that both overweight and anorexia are bad for health caused by unhealthy diets. Among them overweight is more dangerous, which doesn’t justify anorexia at all.
