Adam and Eve lived in Eden but disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit. Through this act, sin entered the world, and harmony with God was lost. Yet God promised a Savior who would overcome evil.

Adam and Eve

adam and eve
Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden, which God gave them for joy and care. They were allowed to eat from all the trees except one — the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

But the serpent tricked Eve, and she, together with Adam, disobeyed God’s command. Eve ate the fruit from the forbidden tree. As a result, sin entered the world, and people lost their closeness with God.

Main Idea:
Disobedience to God breaks harmony, but even after the fall, God promised a Savior who would defeat evil.
