Personally, I think that texting is better.

Example 1

First, it’s faster. In a text you only type what’s important, whereas phone conversations are never that short. It usually takes me a few minutes to solve a problem or get an answer when I text people but way longer when I call.

Example 2

Second, texting is more polite because a person that I want to talk to can be busy at the moment or it might not be comfortable for him or her to talk. Also, a text gives a person time to think and this makes for a better answer, whereas in a phone call sometimes people would feel pressured to answer right away and say something they wouldn't say, if only they had some time to think things over.

So that’s why I usually choose to text people.
