Sandra Annette Bullock (/ˈbʊlək/; born July 26, 1964) is an American actress, producer, and philanthropist. Sandra was born in a neighborhood (1) of Washington D.C. in the family of a German woman and opera singer Helgi Meyer and a vocal teacher from the State of Alabama, John Bullock. She also has a younger sister, Jazin.

Until the age of 12 Sandra mainly (2) lived in the city of Nuremberg, Germany, where she attended (3) an English-language school. Sandra studied ballet and had good vocal skills.

Until Sandra became a high school cheerleader her classmates treated (4) her as a foreigner by not letting her join their social circles.

After graduating from high school Bullock decided to become a lawyer and entered into at the University of North Carolina. However (5), she left this school after a while and went to New York, where she worked as a waitress in bars and restaurants. It was there Sandra got the idea of becoming an actress and started taking some acting courses.

Her film "Speed" became a hit and made the main characters Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves superstars.

With the release of the film "Miss Congeniality", Sandra Bullock's career was given a new boost (10). By that time Sandra started a prodution company.

Sandra speaks German fluently.

In 2005, Bullock married a TV presenter (11) and motorcycle manufacturer Jesse James. In January 2010, the couple adopted (12) the boy Luis Bardot. Then they divorced.
