About Jon Jones

Jonathan Dwight Jones was born on July 19, 1987, Rochester, New York, USA. Jones has two brothers Arthur Jones and Chandler Jones.

All three brothers played American football since childhood but Jon quit (1) football and switched to freestyle wrestling (2). John became the champion of freestyle wrestling at his school, then the champion of the state of Iowa.

Jones left his studies to become a lawyer to do Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He made his MMdebut in 2008 and became the youngest champion in the history of MMA. Jon had 24 fights without a lose. Once he got a defeat (3) due to disqualification for elbow strikes.

Jon has unusually long arms for his height of 193 cm. They have a length of 215 cm. He combines (4) excellent punch and jiu-jitsu techniques.

In 2017 John Jones became the best light heavyweight and the best UFS pound-for-pound (5) fighter.

In 2015 John got into a car accident and left the place of the accident. The next day he came to the police with a confession (6). Jones pleaded (7) guilty (8) to the crime that he committed (9) and received 18 months suspended (10) sentence (11).

The judge (12) made Jones perform 72 separate appearances for charity (13) or youth outreach (14). At the court (15), Jon said, "I'm here to take full responsibility for my actions. I hope you will give me a chance to be rehabilitated."

Jon Jones is married with three children.
