Task 2

You are going to take part in a telephone survey. You have to answer the six questions. Give full answers to the questions. Remember that you have 40 seconds to answer each question.

Electronic assistant: Hello! It’s the electronic assistant of the Dolphin Sports Club. We kindly ask you to take part in our survey. We need to find out how people feel about doing sports in our region. Please answer six questions. The survey is anonymous – you don’t have to give your name. So, let’s get started.

Electronic assistant: Which meal is the most important of the day in your opinion?

Student: I think that lunch is the most important for me. I am usually not really hungry in the morning. I can do without breakfast but I can’t survive without lunch. If for some reason I miss my lunch I can’t study or do anything properly.

Electronic assistant: What do you eat for lunch in your school canteen?
Student: As a rule, I eat soup or borsch with potatoes, fish, and a salad. I always have a cup of tea at the end of my meal.

Electronic assistant: How do you feel about fast food?
Student: Personally, I try not to eat in fast-food restaurants. Their food is high in saturated fat and cholesterol. It can increase the level of "bad" cholesterol in your body and make you vulnerable to different heart diseases.

Electronic assistant: Do you think it is important for everyone to have good cooking skills?
Student:  Yes, I think that it’s important to know how to cook well. First of all, the process of cooking itself is pleasant. Second of all, it's good for us too eat delicious and healthy food, properly cooked. I mean, not overly fried, without mayonnaise or margarine and other such unhealthy products. The reason why they're unhealthy is that they dissolve at higher temperatures than our body's natural temperature.

Electronic assistant: What do you recommend to a teenager to stay fit and healthy?

Student: Personally, I would recommend he or she should go to the gym or do some physical exercises at home, regularly. He or she has to avoid places like McDonald’s and other fast food chain restaurants. Healthy food is important too. Thinking positively helps a lot too. Our thoughts cause different chemical reactions in our body.
