Cyclic Population Change
An ecosystem is a functional system that includes an ecological community of organisms together with the physical environment, interacting as a unit. One aspect of ecosystems, cyclic population change, refers to species changing the size of their population cyclically. Populations change over time due to many different circumstances such as their size and their climate change. However, as these circumstances repeat, the populations of these species return to their original state.

Introduction
The passage is about Cyclic Population Change, which is described as an aspect of ecosystem.
Examples
Species increase or decries their population as time passes and comes to original position cyclically. The professor gives an example of mice and wolfs. Frist, there are a few packs of wolfs and a lot of mice. Wolfs eat mice and their population starts growing. Then at one point their population starts decreasing due to the lack of food, not enough mice to eat. It gives mice an opportunity to reproduce themselves. Population of wolfs decreases and population of mice increases.
Conclusion
So it’s how populations change cyclically.
