1. Population and capital.

North Korea is a country in East Asia with a population of about 26 million people. The capital of the country is Pyongyang. The largest city in North Korea by population is Pyongyang.

2. Religion.

Religious activity in North Korea is strictly controlled by the state. Historically, Buddhism, Confucianism, and traditional Korean beliefs were widespread in the country. Most of the population does not officially identify with any religion.

3. Pyongyang.

Pyongyang is the capital of North Korea and the country's largest political, economic, and cultural center. It is home to the main government institutions, major enterprises, universities, museums, and monuments.

4. Mount Paektu.

Mount Paektu is the highest mountain in North Korea and one of the country's most famous natural landmarks. It is about 2744 meters high. At the summit of the mountain is the volcanic Lake Chonji.

5. Amnok River.

The Amnok River is one of the largest rivers in North Korea. It flows along a significant part of the border between North Korea and China. The river is about 790 kilometers long.

6. Korean culture.

North Korea has a rich cultural heritage connected with the centuries-old history of the Korean Peninsula. Korean culture includes traditional music, dance, national cuisine, architecture, and various folk customs.

7. Korean War.

The Korean War took place from 1950 to 1953 between North and South Korea, with the involvement of other countries. The fighting ended with the signing of an armistice agreement, but a peace treaty between North and South Korea was never signed.

8. Currency.

The national currency of North Korea is the North Korean won.

9. Geographical location.

North Korea is located in East Asia, in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, and has access to the seas of the Pacific Ocean. It shares borders with China, Russia, and South Korea.
