The topic of ecotourism has been discussed for a long time. Some people think that it has a positive impact on the environment, whereas others do not agree. They consider it harmful for nature.

In my opinion, ecological tourism helps local inhabitants and nature. First of all, this kind of tourism was developed especially to benefit local inhabitants and their environment. For example, while traveling tourists do not litter or harm the places they visit but rather, make them better. Secondly, tourists communicate with local inhabitants to understand their life better. For instance, it is not enough just to go to a place and see it. It is better to talk with people who live there and who know a lot about the history of the place. 

Moreover, tourists buy different things from the residents, helping them financially. 

At the same time, there are some people who think that ecotourism is harmful for the environment since it is impossible to visit a place and not to leave some traces of human activity.

I do not agree with the opinion mentioned above. Some harm can be left behind by tourists but it is more the exception than the rule. Fortunately, people have realized the consequences of destroying nature and do not want to do it anymore.

In conclusion, I would like to say there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight ecotourism might be destroying nature but in actual fact it can bring a lot of benefit to people. Thus, I strongly believe that ecotourism is worth developing.
