Dear Rebecca,

Thank you for your letter. It was great to hear from you. Sorry for the delay with my reply.

As a matter of fact, I do speak on the phone a lot. My parents get annoyed with it too. I try to talk when they are not (at) home. I also go out on the balcony to talk so not to be heard. I think you can do the same. Perhaps, you can explain to them your position and they will probably stop being so annoyed.

How was your vacation? Did you go to Greece alone or with your parents? How was the weather?

I’d better go now. My mum wants me to help with the housework.
