John Joseph Travolta is an American actor, director, film producer, dancer and singer. John was born on February 18, 1954, in Englewood, New Jersey, USA.

John was born into a big family with an Italian football player father and an Irish singer mother. In his childhood he studied tap dancing with his brother Gene Kelly and danced all his youth.

Starring in films "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) and "Grease" (1978) instantly made Travolta the 1970's idol of the disco youth.

Deciding to change the role specialization, Travolta successfully played in the film "Urban Cowboy" (1980), which gave new life to country music.

His acting career declined (1) through the 1980s, but got revived (2) with his role in "Pulp Fiction" (1994). In fact, his character was a parody of the Travolta, which America knew in the 1970s. This movie shifted (3) him back onto Hollywood's actor A-list, and as a result inundated (4) him with offers. According to John, when he agreed to take part in this film, he did not expect (5) that the film would create (6) such a stunning (7) success. He thought that it would be something like "Mad Dogs "- the previous (8) Tarantino's film.

Then he got other noticeable roles like an FBI agent and terrorist in "Face/Off" (1997).

John a true fanatic about aviation. Personally flying on his own Boeing 707, the actor and his family visited Russia on September 2010. He also took an active part, using his Boeing to help victims (9) of the earthquake in Haiti.

Travolta married the actress Diane Hyland who died in 1977. In 1991 Travolta married the actress Kelly Preston. The couple had a son Jett (who died in 2009). Their daughter, Ella Blue, was born in 2000, and the third child, Benjamin's son, was born in 2010.
