José Antonio Domínguez Banderas is a Spanish actor, singer, and producer. Antonio was born on the 10th of May 1960 in the city of Malaga, Spain. His father was a police officer, José Domínguez Prieto, and his mother was a school teacher, Ana Bandera Gallego.

Antonio took the surname of his mother Bandera and added (1) the letter "S" at the end so it turned into Banderas. Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming a football player. He got quite (2) good at it, but when he broke his leg, he changed his mind (3). At the age of 16 he entered (4) an acting school.

Banderas's film debut was in 1982. Pedro Almodovar invited him to act in his film "Laberinto de Pasiones " Then he appeared (5) in high-profile (7) Hollywood films. The first one was "Philadelphia". Antonio is a winemaker and recently entered a design school.

He was married to Melanie Griffith and has a daughter from her. In 2014 they divorced.
