Would you support the building of a factory in your neighborhood?

Я живу в местности, где нет никаких заводов рядом с моим домом.

I live in a place where there are not any factoriesclosetomy home.

Местность ухоженная, лес  полон жизни, животных, цветов и птиц.

The area iswell keptand the forest is full of nature, animals, flowers and birds.

Многие люди думают, что нам нужно защищать природу и сохранять её для будущих поколений.

A lot of people think that we should protect this nature and preserve it for future generations.

Тогда как другие говорят, что производство, дающее работу местным людям, должно поощряться.

Whereas others say that industries that create employment for local people must be encouraged.

Те, кто поддерживает производство за счёт окружающей среды, говорят: «Незагрязнённый воздух, охраняемые леса  важны, но создание рабочих мест и благосостояние должны иметь приоритет.

 Those in support of development at the expense of the environment say, “unpolluted air and well maintained, protected forests are important but peoples livelihoods and job creation should take precedent.”

Разрушение окружающей среды – это малая цена, которую мы платим, чтобы достигнуть лучших жизненных стандартов для наших людей.

That damage to the environment is a small price to pay if we achieve better standards of living for our people.

Заводы производят множество вещей, без которых мы даже не можем жить, например – одежду, обогревающие приборы, электронику.

Factories produce many things that we just can’t live without, for example clothes, heating and electricity.

Проблема строительства обычного завода - это вред, который он может принести нашей природе и местной окружающей среде.

The problem of building a conventional factory is the damage that it can cause to our nature and the local environment.

С другой стороны, сейчас есть новые инновационные технологии, которые позволяют нам построить экологически безвредные заводы.

On the other hand, there are now new innovated technologies that allow us to build ecologically friendly factories.

Обычно эти технологии связаны с финансовой нагрузкой, но преимущество в том, что это ограничивает выброс отходов  в воздух и воду.

Usually these technologies come with a financial burden but it is well worth it if it limits the pollution omitted into the air and our waters.

В заключение я бы хотел сказать, что производство товаров – важно и мы не должны тормозить развитие, но мы также должны принимать во внимание вред, который оно приносит окружающей среде.

In conclusion I would like to say that the manufacturing of goods is important and we shouldn't stop development but we must also take into account the damage it causes to the environment.

Я бы подержал строительство завода недалеко от меня если были бы приняты меры предосторожности для защиты лесов и воздуха, которым мы все дышим.

I would be in support of building a factory in my neighborhood if safeguards were put in place to protect our forests and the air that we all breathe.
