Task 2

You are going to take part in a telephone survey. You have to answer the six questions. Give full answers to the questions. Remember that you have 40 seconds to answer each question.

Electronic assistant: Hello! It’s the electronic assistant of the Dolphin Sports Club. We kindly ask you to take part in our survey. We need to find out how people feel about doing sports in our region. Please answer six questions. The survey is anonymous – you don’t have to give your name. So, let’s get started.

Electronic assistant: There are many on-line courses available for free. What on-line courses would you like to take?
Student: As a matter of fact, I would take web-design courses. I find such courses very interesting and practical for me.

Electronic assistant: How can the Internet motivate people to learn foreign languages?
Student: I guess that the Internet can motivate people to learn foreign languages by giving them access to information written in English. You can also communicate with English speaking people through the Internet by Skype or other apps.

Electronic assistant: Do you consider all the information on the Internet reliable or not? Why?
Student: I think not all the information on the Internet is reliable. The Internet is an open platform for all kinds of information. Anyone can upload anything there. Responsible people check what they upload, whereas irresponsible people don’t. Some people upload false information on the net on purpose to bewilder innocent users.

Electronic assistant: How would you recommend teenagers avoid becoming addicted to the Internet?

Student: I would recommend scheduling this process. For example, you plan your day and you give it say, one hour using the Internet. Then you follow your plan. The problems starts when you don’t control the process and it consumes all your free time.
