The lecture is about animals, weather they are controlled by biological clack or external factors.

Examples

The professor gives an example of flying squirrels. Naturally, they have 24 hours biological cycles. To understand how the external environment effects their cycles they were placed into the dark environment for 7 days. Their biological hours changed to 23.5 hours, 30 minutes faster. Then they returned them into their natural surrounding and their biological cycles came back to 24 hours.

Conclusion

That’s how we can understand that animals are controlled by external factors.
