You have 20 min to do this task. You have received a letter from your English-speaking pen friend Sheryl, who writes: |
... Do you ever argue with your parents about what you wear? My parents and I don't seem to agree about clothes at all! Is it important to you to be fashionable? What sort of clothes do you like wearing? Why? Do you think I should wear what my parents tell me to? Have you got any advice? Looking forward to hearing your opinion. Love, Sheryl |

Dear Sheryl,
Thank you for your letter. It’s been really great to get it.
I am sorry to hear that you argue with your parents about clothes!
Sure, sometimes I argue with my parents about my clothes. Yes, I feel good in fashionable clothes. My favorite sorts of clothes are different shirts, preferably white, and tight jeans. I like it because this is stylish and comfortable.
As far as I understand, if your parents tell you what you should wear to school or the theatre, you need to listen to them. But if you just go for a walk with your friends, you have the right to choose. My advice is not to treat the arguments with your parents seriously and be ready for a compromise.
Is the arguing with your parents about clothes the only disagreement with your parents you have? Does your brother have the same problems? What do you personally think about the solution tothe situation?
Write soon,
