Some people think that it is better to study in another town, whereas others do not agree. They consider studying in their home-town the best choice for a student.

In my opinionstaying in your home-town gives more opportunities to study better. First of all, if a person stays with his or her parents they do not have to deal with accommodation problems. For example, parents usually cook for their children, do washing, iron clothes and so on.  Secondly, when staying at home a student feels more psychologically safeFor instance, they know everything and everyone around them that allows them to not spend time and energy on socializing that in its turn increases his or her efficiency of studying.

At the same time there are people who think that studying in another town builds up people’s character and makes students independent.

I do not agree with the opinion mentioned above. Very often students are not ready for being independent. Having been left without parents and friends makes them lose their focus and start studying less efficiently.

In conclusionI would like to say there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight, studying far away from one’s own town seems to be better for academic results but in actual fact, staying with parents causes a person to study better. Thus, I strongly believe that remaining in one’s home-town is more beneficial for a student then to go somewhere far way
